Science Graphic Novels
At Mary Scroggs Elementary, 4th grade teachers had an innovative idea: combine students’ love of graphic novels with science instruction. Using PSF classroom enrichment funding to purchase scientifically based graphic novels, students explore concepts visually and bring them to life through 3D models, experiments, and dioramas—building nonfiction reading and writing skills while deepening their understanding of the world around them.
