Master Drummers
This spring, Elizabeth Lindemuth, music teacher at Rashkis Elementary, received a PSF grant to bring master drummers Atiba Rorie and Lamine Cissokho to campus for a high-impact percussion residency. Fourth and fifth grade students participated in hands-on lessons exploring traditional African rhythms, instruments, and storytelling. The program inspired musical growth, teamwork, and cultural appreciation, culminating in a joyful, school-wide performance celebrating rhythm, unity, and global connection.
