Empowerment Scholarship

The Empowerment Scholarship is a four year achievement-based award granted to one student who meets the following requirements:

  • Student identifies as a woman of color
  • Chapel Hill-Carrboro graduating senior with a weighted GPA of 3.75 or higher
  • Proof of admission to a four year accredited university/college
  • Proven financial need.

To maintain eligibility for this four year scholarship, the student must meet the following requirements

  • Maintain a GPA of 2.75
  • Participate in a work study program or work part-time (100 hours per semester)
  • Provide a transcript and job verification to the Public School Foundation annually
