In recommending candidates for the TONY YOUNT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, priorities shall be given to students who:
- Are Chapel Hill High School seniors, on track to graduate
- Have been on the Chapel Hill High School yearbook staff and/or
- Are interested in pursuing a degree in history
- Have an interest in becoming an educator or coach
- Demonstrate a commitment to social justice and serving others through community volunteerism
*While financial need is not a requirement for this scholarship, the committee may take financial circumstances into account in the event of a tie between equally qualified applicants. Applicants are encouraged to provide financial information if they would like it considered during the selection process.
