NBPTS and School Nurse Assistance

The Public School Foundation provides financial assistance to CHCCS teachers and nurses pursuing NBPTS certification. Eligible applicants can receive up to $1,000 in reimbursement: $475 after submitting proof of payment for the first component, and an additional $525 upon successful completion of all four components. This support is available for first-time certification only. Additional support includes:

Renewal (5-year): $250
Nurse Initial Certification: $180
Nurse Renewal: $125

Recipients must commit to remaining with CHCCS for two full years after certification or renewal.

The teacher completing this form certifies that they are a teacher or school nurse in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS) district. Furthermore, the teacher/nurse agrees they will continue to teach in CHCCS for two full years after receiving certification/renewal. In the event any of these conditions are not met, the teacher agrees to repay assistance provided by the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Public School Foundation within 30 days of leaving the school district.
