Bernadine Sullivan Chair for Excellence in Teaching High School English or Social Studies

Established by the family of Bernadine Sullivan, an English teacher at Chapel Hill High School, this endowed Chair recognizes excellence in high school English or Social Studies instruction.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Currently teaches high school English or Social Studies

  • Has three or more full years of teaching in CHCCS in their current position

  • Must not have previously received this Teaching Chair

  • Plans to remain in CHCCS for at least 2 more years

  • Presented on a two-year cycle
